The Doha Metro network consists of three metro lines with a track length of approx. 132 km in Design Stage 1 and comprises sections in tunnels, on bridges and at-grade. In the course of detailed design of the slab tracks including switches and crossings the whole slab track route was modelled in 3D and positioned and illustrated in the correct position.
VCE assumed the task of planning in this project and prepared the submodel for the field of slab track design. Before the preparation of the model the level of detail and the requirements for the submodel were agreed upon. The objective is to use the total project model for clash detection, visualization and adjustment.
