The concept provides a bridge in a bended position which consistently continues the layout of the A26 motorway. A cable-stayed bridge is proposed for economic reasons, in particular due to the required bridge width.
The design reacts on its environment with formal restraint. The curved deck hovers above the harbour area and draws the beholder’s attention to the 196 m high pylon. The pylon inclined outward in form of a lambda is built of reinforced concrete.
