The project is represented by a 25 km long section of the A5 North/Weinviertel Highway connecting Schrick and Poysbrunn (from km 23,728 to km 48,460) and is going to be operated for 25 years (2016–2041). In the course of the PPP-project tender VCE has developed a maintenance concept for the entire highway section consisting of 25 km of pavement (concrete and asphalt), more than 40 bridges, more than 6 km of noise barriers and 15 gantries. The concept was divided into four main categories:
- Maintenance of pavement and engineering structures
- Maintenance of road equipment
- Cleaning
- Maintenance of green areas.
