The building located in an important urban development and historic area of Sarajevo continues to exist in its exterior impression as historical monument and is adapted to the requirements of a modern office building in the interior. The roof is pulled down and reconstructed according to today’s structural requirements. This leads to the establishment of a new column-free attic storey. The most complex field in terms of structural engineering is the erection of a subterranean garage. For this purpose the non-basement building is underpinned and secured against water penetration (Miljacka river).
