The Project, a Private Public Partnership (PPP or PFI) model, consists of the upgrading of 37 km of existing motorway (four to six lanes + emergency lane) and the operation and maintenance of in total 52 km of motorway between Munich and Augsburg in south Germany. This 60 years old section is no longer capable of the present volume of traffic of more than 100.000 vehicles per day. The 30-year concession project involves the funding, design, construction, operation and maintenance including a number of noise reduction structures and approximately 111 bridges and other structures.
The KONFAM Consortium has appointed VCE to perform the Technical Advisor role for the Mandated Lead Arrangers.
