For the extension of the Istanbul Metro System a bridge across the Golden Horn will be necessary. The project is located in the centre of Istanbul and comprises a most attractive project of urban bridge construction under very difficult conditions. The Golden Horn project is a 387 m long cable stayed bridge crossing the Golden Horn River in Istanbul, Turkey, composed of a 180 m long central span and two 90 m long lateral spans.
