Line 5 of Berlin Metro is to be completed by joining the Station Brandenburger Tor, currently under construction, with the existing tunnels at Alexanderplatz. The total length of the lot amounts to 2,2 km and comprises 3 stations – Berliner Rathaus, Museumsinsel and Unter den Linden –, further a track cross-over and a siding station. The two track tunnels are being driven by TBM connecting to the existing structure of the station Brandenburger Tor. Contracted services commence in phase 2 – construction planning – and continue to tender procurement and site supervision till final handing over in 2018.
