The section U2 Donaustadtbrücke is part of the extension of the U2 underground line from Schottenring to Aspern. This section starts at high level with the station building Donaustadtbrücke consisting of two parallel prestressed reinforced concrete box sections as side platforms and the two train tracks on top of precast concrete slabs embedded between these box sections. The station bridge crosses over a six lane motorway.
